Experiencing Christmas
Dec 1 - 24
This Advent and Christmas season St. Thomas will experience Christmas through our senses – sight, sound, taste, and touch. Our children, youth, and adults are all sharing these experiences together in the recognition that in this wonderful season we recognize something new and different is happening, that Christmas is often experienced through our senses. What’s more, we know that God came to us as flesh and bone in Jesus Christ and through his senses experienced everything we experience. In Matt Rawle’s book Experiencing Christmas he writes “Christmas is the celebration that God now has senses. God put on flesh in the person of Jesus to experience and redeem humanity in a unique and radical way.” Join us this Advent season to experience Christmas together.
