Join us for a virtual meeting to make Greeting Cards on March 21st at 2 pm! Pat Brown, who is highly skilled in making cards and scrapbooking, will lead us in making two greeting cards. A kit containing the needed supplies for making your cards costs $5 and will be available during the Spring Bazaar's curbside pickup on March 16 or through the church office during the week of March 15 (but before noon on Friday). Curbside pickup will be on Tuesday, March 16th from 4:30 – 5:30 pm by the carport at the Parsonage House. Please have exact change for cash payments or checks made out to STUMW. We will bring your order to your car. All proceeds go to missions.
Notecards to Commemorate Leslie Oakes' retirement after 25 years of service to St. Thomas and our community, are on sale now. Debbie Barnard did a painting memorializing St. Thomas, which was presented to Leslie in June. Copies of this painting have also been made into notecards,suitabe for framing. Six - 4X6 cards for $10.00 or 1 - 5X7 for $10.00 are for sale. All proceeds go towards the Food Pantry that is near and dear to Leslie. Call the church office to purchase. These make wonderful gifts and even stocking stuffers.
New Communications Form - The Comuncations committee has created a Communications Request Form, accessible through the website, that is a one-stop shop for submitting a request for announcements in newsletters, on Facebook, in the weekly bulletins and more. This allows the same information to be shared in multiple places and saves you from having to alert multiple staff and lay leaders. Food Pantry: Every Saturday 9 to 12 noon. The Pantry is low on these staples: soup and laundry detergent. Please leave your donated items in the box in the Narthex. URGENT NEED for volunteers to pick up donated food at local grocery stores. We need permanent and substitute volunteers. If you are interested, please contact Lisa Detwiler at 703-623-5884. 9am - 12pm volunteers are needed weekdays to organize and sort food.
