Serve at Church

We believe that faith is not a spectator sport and want folks to discover their place in ministry based on their spiritual gifts, life experiences, and passion for ministry!  Periodically throughout the year, we offer small group classes to help members identify their spiritual gifts and then use them.

In the meantime, there are many ways to get connected and be a part of what God is doing through St. Thomas -- whether it's through our food pantry, greeting on Sundays or siging in one of our choirs.  There is something for everyone. To learn more, please contact the church office to help find the right fit for your gifts and your schedule.

  • Trunk or Treat Volunteers -- This annual event on October 31 from 6 - 7:30 pm often witnesses 500 plus children and their families each year.  It reaches out into our community by offering a safe, family-friendly alternative on Halloween.  Volunteers are need to set up or break down, to decorate their car and serve candy, or help with concessions.  Sign up in worshp on your Connect Card or contact the church office, 703-368-5161.
  • Holiday Bazaar -- This 45-year tradition, which helps support mission both locally and globally, brings together our local community.  Help is needed with hospitality throughout the event on Saturday, October 21 from 9 AM until 2 PM.
