START - Fayetteville, NC

The START team will again travel to Fayetteville, NC for a week of helping people impacted by Hurricane Matthew.

This fall we had two trips scheduled to Fayetteville, NC to do reconstruction work.  The first one was cancelled due to Hurricane Florence and the second was cut short by Hurricane Michael.  We have made tremendous effort to help the people of Fayetteville, but due to the storms, we have been unable to get much work done.  We will again try to schedule a trip to Fayetteville from November 11 - 17.  We will be doing roofing work for the entire time we are there.  Roof damage must be complete before other repairs are made to a home.  We need volunteers on this trip because many people took time off for the first two trips and cannot take any more time.  We are looking for all skill levels, but especially for people who are comfortable getting on a first floor roof.  Once on the roof, the skills needed are easily taught.  Please consider being part of this team.  If you are able to join us, even for part of the week, please contact Cliff Farrar at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. by Tuesday, October 23.  Once we have a roster with the skills we need, we will schedule a meeting to work out the details of the trip.  We look forward to serving with you.
