Our Staff

At. St. Thomas, the pastoral leaders are ordained ministers that are called by God to a lifetime of servant leadership among the people of God.  Both pastors serve under appointment at the discretion of the Bishop of the Virginia Annual Conference and are elders in the UMC called to ministries of Word, Sacrament, Order, and Service.  

These staff play a vital role in supporting the overall operations of the church to carry out its mission by coordinating communications, calendar, buildings and grounds, finance, and membership.

 
These staff lead ministries that help St. Thomas reach up to God and reach out to our community.  They include staff that oversee our traditional and contemporary worship services, music minsitries, and media and technology ministries.  They also include our hospitality, first impressions team, and "front porch" ministires.

Nourish staff are committed to helping children, youth and adults grow in their faith through healthy and life affirming relationships with one another, the Church, and Jesus Christ.  They also help coordinate fellowship, prayer ministries, support groups, counseling services, weddings & funerals.

 
Serve staff coordinate key ministries that help the community experience healing and new life such as the Food Pantry, Clothing Closet, and Local Relief and by working in tandem with the Mission Council to ensure that members and non-members alike have the opportunity to serve as the hands and feet of Christ with our identified mission partners locally, nationally, and globally.
